Looking for a new luxury sedan in the Sussex area? You might have come across the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or S-Class. These are both exceptional vehicles, featuring top-notch luxury alongside powerhouse performance specs. You can’t go wrong with either, but only one will ultimately best suit your driving needs and lifestyle.
So what’s the difference between the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class? The team at Mercedes-Benz of Newton has put together a guide comparing the most important elements of these sedans, including price, trim levels, engine options, and more.
Let’s start our comparison guide by looking at the available trim levels for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class. There are three trims to choose from if you opt for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, while the Mercedes-Benz S-Class offers two. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class starts at a higher price level, but you’ll see below that it compensates with a more powerful engine and a wider range of interior features. Check out the full price list:

There are a total of five engine choices between the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class. Hackettstown drivers have the option of choosing between three engine options on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and two engine options on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Being that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a pricier pick, it naturally comes with more powerful options, although the E-Class certainly packs a punch with its turbocharged engines and the availability of an AMG® performance model. Here are the details:

2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class have similar frames, both being midsize sedans. However, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the cream of the crop when it comes to luxury sedans and provides exceptional comfort for long drives. With that being said, both sedans comfortably seat up to five passengers and have similar dimensions for head- and legroom, though the S-Class offers a bit more space for the driver and front passenger.
The rear seats of both models can be folded down to accommodate more cargo if needed, but the trunk also offers plenty of space. Where these sedans start to differ is in the standard and available features inside the cabin–while the E-Class has plenty of luxury appointments and advanced technology, many of its optional upgrades come standard on the pricier S-Class. Check out the dimensions and features of both models below:
