Mercedes-Benz E-Class vs. S-Class: Performance Specs

There are a total of five engine choices between the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class. Hackettstown drivers have the option of choosing between three engine options on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and two engine options on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Being that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a pricier pick, it naturally comes with more powerful options, although the E-Class certainly packs a punch with its turbocharged engines and the availability of an AMG® performance model. Here are the details:

  • 3.0L inline-6 mild-hybrid turbo engine: 362 hp / 369 lb-ft of torque

Mercedes-Benz E-Class vs. S-Class: Interior Cabin

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class have similar frames, both being midsize sedans. However, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the cream of the crop when it comes to luxury sedans and provides exceptional comfort for long drives. With that being said, both sedans comfortably seat up to five passengers and have similar dimensions for head- and legroom, though the S-Class offers a bit more space for the driver and front passenger.

The rear seats of both models can be folded down to accommodate more cargo if needed, but the trunk also offers plenty of space. Where these sedans start to differ is in the standard and available features inside the cabin–while the E-Class has plenty of luxury appointments and advanced technology, many of its optional upgrades come standard on the pricier S-Class.
