Looking to leave gasoline behind and give your Sussex commute a serious upgrade? You’ve come to the right place! In recent years, Mercedes-Benz has rolled out an ambitious group of fully-electric vehicles with their Mercedes-Benz: All Electric lineup, including sleek sedans and roomy SUVs.

One of our best-selling models at Mercedes-Benz of Newton is the EQS sedan, which offers strong performance specs, next-generation technology, and multiple unique trim levels to choose from. It’s a great choice for any driver, but how does it stack up to key competitors like the new Tesla Model S? If you’re on the fence about deciding between a Mercedes-Benz: All Electric vs. Tesla electric vehicle, check out the comparison guide below!

2023 EQS vs. Tesla S: Price & Trims

Price is often the first thing that drivers see when shopping for a new vehicle, so let’s start our comparison by looking at the pricing and available trim levels for the EQS and Tesla Model S. While it’s true that the EQS is a bit pricier out of the gate, it also offers twice as many configurations as the Tesla, including a high-performance Mercedes-AMG® model! Check out the full price list:

EQS Trim Levels

  • EQS 450+: MSRP from $104,400*
  • EQS 450 4MATIC®®: MSRP from $107,400*
  • EQS 450 580 4MATIC®®: MSRP from $125,950*
  • Mercedes-AMG® EQS: MSRP from $147,550*

2023 EQS vs. Tesla S: Interior Features

Now let’s step inside the cabin of the new EQS and Tesla Model S and see what each model offers in terms of features and amenities. While both vehicles offer the latest technology and plenty of advanced comforts and conveniences on the Hackettstown roads, the Mercedes-Benz: All Electric offers quite a bit more right from the entry-level trim. From smartphone integration to in-car WiFi to fingerprint technology, here’s what you’ll get on the EQS that you won’t find on the Tesla Model S:

  • Three total infotainment touchscreens totaling 56 inches of widescreen glass
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®
  • Near-field communication (NFC) technology
  • Biometric fingerprint authentication
  • “Hey Mercedes” voice activation
  • MBUX augmented video for navigation
  • Built-in Dashcam
  • 64-color LED ambient lighting
  • Available in-car WiFi hotspot
  • Available rear seat wireless charging

The EQS also takes the advantage when it comes to warranty coverage! Both models come with the same limited warranty plan, but Mercedes-Benz also offers 10 years or 155,000 miles of electric component coverage vs. the Tesla which offers 8 years or 150,000 miles or battery and drive unit warranty coverage.
